Ir sha we consult

As far as I can trace there is no legislation

in this country controlling the printing of bank

notes for foreign countries. Certainly the recent

case of Waterlows v. the Bank of Portugal would

suggest that no control is exercised. I have

spoken to H.0. who confirm that there is no

legislation on the subject and that the only

actual printing which they do, in a measure,

control is the printing of the Bible and Prayer

Book.
